Marked on right side of the frame with Smith & Wesson logo and ''MADE IN U.S.A.'' Barrel with ''38 S.&W.SPECIAL CTG'' together with ''SMITH & WESSON''; address and patent information. Left side barrel strap is marked ''(U.S. Ordnance Dept. ''Flaming Bomb'')/U.S.PROPERTY G.H.D.''. Matching numbers. Condition overall is fine, retaining approx. 95% reparkerized finish, showing scattered light scuffs and handling marks. Factory lettering and military markings are a little light. Color case hardening on the hammer and trigger remains vivid. Grips with light handling marks. Action locks up, cycles, and extracts smoothly. Bright bore rates very good with defined rifling.
